Global Advisory Process

Global Advisory Services take place using the following four major steps:

Investment Policy Development

The completion of a questionnaire helps to define the client's portfolio investment objectives and to determine the appropriate risk to be taken in working toward the long-term goals. This is the basis of formulating a customized investment policy.

Asset Allocation Guidance

A critical part of an investment policy, the allocation of asset , is designed to establish a long-term target for the client's portfolio average asset mix over time, as well as the level of return achieved and the level of risk taken. Asset classes may include fixed-income securities, equities, money market instruments as well as other products.

Investment Managers

Once the investment policy has been developed through a series of quantitative and qualitative screens, Arlan will apply the results in order to evaluate the client's current investment managers. The goal is to identify investment managers whose approach, experience, performance history and risk characteristics are appropriate for the specific investment goals, policies and constraints.

Performance Measurement

This ongoing process provides an in-depth report to help monitor the progress being made towards the financial goals and objectives and decide whether each investment manager is respecting the individual policies, mandates and constraints of the client in question. The report also helps to evaluate how each investment manager, the market environment and the policies are affecting overall performance results.
